Scotch was brought to the Animal Wellness and Rehabilitation Center on August 24, 2018 for paralysis of the back legs due to spinal trauma. Scotch had spinal surgery but still could not walk and had no feeling of pain or any motor functions.
After initial evaluation by Dr. Sodhi, Scotch was started on electro-acupuncture, Class IV cold laser therapy, physical therapy at home, swimming in our therapy pool, and ultimately transitioned into using the underwater treadmill. The owner, Meenakshi N. is excited to share that Scotch is able to stand and walk quite a few steps now.
