Dr. Tejinder Sodhi DVM, CVC

Dr. Tejinder Sodhi graduated in 1983 from the “College of Veterinary Science” in Punjab, India. He got his ECFVG certification from American Veterinary Medical Association.

After working as associate veterinarian at two different animal hospitals, Dr. Sodhi opened his practice at Animal Hospital of Lynnwood in 1991. In 1996, Dr. Sodhi opened his second location in Bellevue to meet the demand of growing holistic clients in the greater Seattle area as well as on the Eastside. Dr. Sodhi’s client came to him from throughout Washington State and even from the East coast of the United States and Canada.

Over the past years, he has taken time from the clinics and continued to further his education in holistic and alternative animal health by taking several weeks to months of extensive training Veterinary Acupunture from IVAS, Certification in Veterinary Chiropractic from AVCA, and under training in Canine Rehab from North Carolina State University and the University of Tennessee.

Dr. Tejinder Sodhi has given a lot to the Veterinary community and has been serving on the Veterinary board of advisors for Seattle King County Veterinary Medical Association (SKCVMA) and Washington State Veterinary Medical Association (WSVMA). He is also twice president of SKCVMA. He was the founding president of the Holistic chapter of Washington State and served as the first president of Holistic Veterinarians in the state of Washington. As a president, he worked to promote the holistic animal care.

Meet Laura Daniel: Our office manager at Animal Hospital Of Lynnwood

Laura graduated from the University of South Carolina-Aiken (magna cum laude) with a BS in Biology and a minor in Literature. She has worked for 15 years in the veterinary and research fields. She is an avian enthusiast but also loves moles, tardigrades, and seals. She crochets, writes, watches too much anime, and is overly obsessed with taxonomy and evolutionary history. She lives with the wily and crafty cockatiel, Sweetie.

Meet Julie Kerlin: Our licensed vet Tech at both the locations.

I have been a Licensed Veterinary Technician with Animal Wellness Center and Animal Hospital of Lynnwood since 2013. I graduated from Pima Medical Institute with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. Before pursuing a career with animals, I received a BA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Sculpture at the University of Redlands, CA. I continue to sculpt and create pottery as a hobby. On the weekends, if I am not in the ceramics studio, I am volunteering at the Feral Cat Spay and Neuter Clinic, reading, catching up on a favorite TV program, or spending quality time with friends.

Meet Carissa Foster

She is a Veterinary Assistant/ canine rehab technician. She is working at Animal Wellness and Rehab Center for the past 15 years. She is extremely trained to handle all the breeds and species of small animals that we see in our practice. She assist animals in the Therapy room with Underwater treadmill, land treadmill and Swims and grooming. She has good knowledge of animal handling and is very polite to animals and pet owners.

Meet Dr. Sandra Coon

Born in Swedish Hospital Dr. Coon grew up in rural Bothell which grew to be suburban Bothell.  She haunted the neighboring dog breeder, sheep rancher, and dairy farm and fell in love with animals and the people who cared for and valued them. She focused her educational efforts toward learning about animals as soon as she was able to read.  One day the dog breeder took her to attend a C-Section to help revive placenta covered puppies new from the womb, from that day to this she never questioned what she wanted to do with her life.  Dr. Coon is committed to the human animal bond and enhancing both the lives of people and animals. She is committed to continuing education averaging over 100 hours of intensive veterinary medical course work every year.  Dr. Coon full filled a long time dream of completing the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society Certification Course, selling her urban practice and changing her focus of practice to Holistic Medicine.

Dr. Coon loves being a Veterinarian! For the past 25 years Dr. Coon has focused general practice in Veterinary Medicine.  Her favorite area was preventative health care.  She always works hard for her clients to find the very best answers to prevent disease, suggest the best preventative diets, dental care, exercise plan, weight loss schedule, and supplements.  The greatest success is long lived happy, healthy well behaved pets with happy owners.   Dr. Coon’s next part of medicine is helping really sick animals and helping their owners go the extra mile to really open to doors to healing if it will occur.  What we can do is correct everything we know about, look as far as we can, balance the energy, use drugs when needed, and let the body heal if it will.

She lives in North Seattle near her sister’s family with her husband, son, two dogs, two cats, and guppies.  She thrives in the outdoors practicing permaculture, suburban farming, exploring nature, building in the sandbox, with Knex and Lego with her son.  Dr. Coon volunteers for City Fruit as a Master Fruit Tree Steward teaching people to grow and care for their own fruit trees cityfruit.org, and at Cascade K-8 Community School, in the Shoreline School District.
